When will my order be ready?

The turnaround time for screen printing, embroidery and vinyl is typically 10-12 business days from the time you give your final invoice approval. Stationary, banners and promotional items can range anywhere from 12-21 days from your final invoice approval. Sometimes there are circumstances outside of our control, such as shipping delays, employee shortages and machinery malfunction that may affect our production times.

Can I put a rush on my order?

Yes, we do take rush orders. Our typical rush fee is $30 or 30% of the total invoice amount for larger orders. This will be discussed during the quoting process.

What additional fees will I see on my order?

  1. Rush Fee – $30 or 30% of total invoice (for larger orders)
  2. Art Fee – Billed at $40/hour
  3. Screen Change Fee – We will discuss this at the time of the quote if applicable
  4. Ink Change Fee – Same design but different colors on different shirts
  5. Digitizing Fee – Converting your art files into a file our embroidery machines can read
  6. CC Fee – Credit Card Processing Fee 4% of total order (will waive if order is paid by cash or business check)

Can I get samples?

Yes, you can order product samples. Provided, you place an order with us using the samples, we will bill the samples with your order. If you choose not to move forward with the samples, you will be required to pay for the sample at retail price, plus any shipping charges that have been incurred.

Decorated samples can be provided. You will be pre-billed for the product, decoration charge and set up fees. The same timeline for regular orders will apply to sample items.

Will you ship my items?

Of course! We will happily ship your items. Shipping charges are dependent upon order details and will be added to your final invoice. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items once shipped.

Will you deliver my items?

In some situations, we will deliver locally. If you are wanting local delivery, ask us about it when requesting a quote. Delivery charges will be added to your final invoice.

What garment options or product options do you have available for me to order?

I’m glad you asked. If you give us an idea of what you are looking for, we will provide you with some links to products that we believe will fit your needs. If you don’t feel like or have time to search through our product offerings, find the item you want online and send us a link. We are always willing to look through our products for you to see if we can find a comparable item or style.

How do you need my artwork?

  • We accept all kinds of files of your design. (.TIF .BMP .GIF .JPG .PSD .EPS .PNG .PSP .PDF)
  • All files must be at least 200 dpi and at the size you want it printed on the apparel.
  • If you send us graphics pulled from the web at screen resolution (72 dpi) you will incur art charges to make the graphics usable for decoration. Art charges are billed at $40/hour.
  • Please email all art files to orders@kansasink.com

I kind of know what I want, but I kind of don’t. Can you help me with that?

We have a very talented team of graphic and production artists who can assist you through the design and order process. If you do not have “print-ready” art, our graphic artists will be happy to help you through the process at a creative design rate of $40/hour. Once your art is ready to go, we will be happy to walk you through the remainder of the ordering  process.

Can I bring in my own shirts or garments?

Yes, as long as they are new, unworn and unwashed.

What is your payment policy?

In most cases, payment is due before production can be started. For some larger orders, we may ask for a portion of the total to be deposited up front. We accept cash, business checks and all major credit cards.

What is your misprint policy?

It is common for there to be subtle differences between shirts when screen printing and we do not replace or refund for subtle differences. In the event that a misprint occurs, we will do our best to credit or replace those items on your current or future order. If you place an order that requires an exact number of items or you are operating under a tight deadline, you may consider ordering a few extras just in case. Shipping delays and staffing issues do happen, and we can’t always guarantee that we will have replacements when you need them.

Will my embroidery look exactly like my proof?

No! While we try to create proofs that will look as close to the actual finished product as possible, there is really no way to tell what the embroidery will look like until the items are stitched. If you are concerned about your design, we would recommend asking for a stitched sample. Pricing for stitched samples would be the same as pricing for one item.

Is there a chance for my items to be damaged during embroidery?

Yes! There is always a chance when it comes to sharp needles and machinery. If you have an irreplaceable item, we would prefer not to embroider it. If our machine does happen to damage one of your items, we will try our best to make it right but we cannot guarantee we can replace your item.

Will you print or stitch my design, even if some might think it is offensive?

At Kansas Ink & Thread, we are all pretty open-minded. With that being said, we reserve the right to refuse an order if we so choose.

Why isn’t my order ready?

Has it been two weeks since you approved your final order? If the answer is no, and you did not pay a rush fee, chances are your order is still in production. We are a small business and do the best we can with what we have. Staffing can be tricky, and shipping delays and supplier shortages are common during peak seasons. If you have a hard deadline, please please please communicate that with us before your order is placed so we can ensure all parties are on the same page.

Will you sponsor us or give us a discount on our order?

Most likely, No. We have been asked by many sports teams, organizations, clubs, schools, etc. for free shirts or discounts in exchange for our logo to be printed on the shirt.  While we would love to help everyone out, giving away our products isn’t a sustainable small business marketing model, nor will it allow us to pay our employees or cover operational costs. Joining our email list for special offers is the best way to take advantage of discounts we offer.

At the end of the day, if you are wanting a free or heavily discounted order, please be prepared to offer us something equally as great.
